Volunteers have an indispensable role to play in the Department of Palliative Care at St. Mary’s Hospital. They provide assistance and support to patients and their families in a wide variety of ways to make life a little easier. The support from volunteers also helps alleviate the burden of the nurses and other healthcare staff.
A few of the ways in which volunteers support patients and/or their families include:
- Chat and keep them company
- Read to them
- Listen to music with them
We appreciate and value the diverse backgrounds and talents that our volunteers bring to our team. For more information or to become a volunteer, please complete the form below.
